The sediment filter is typically the first stage of any water filtration system and removes dirt, particles, and rust. Made of 100% melt-blown polypropylene, the 4-layer filtration design delivers superior performance. Depending on your water usage and quality, the filter should be replaced every 3-6 months. It has been tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards, ensuring genuine quality. The FP series sediment filters are specially designed to remove sediments, dust, sand, large particles, silt, dirt, and rust from water. They are typically used as the first stage of a water filtration system to prevent the subsequent filters from becoming clogged too quickly. These filters can also be utilized for pool and hot tub applications.

Our sediment filter fits standard 10-inch by 2.5-inch housings, including most major brand models. The high-capacity polypropylene filter can achieve filtration down to 1, 5, 10, 20, or 50 microns, as tested by an independent third-party to meet NSF/ANSI standards. The filter has a capacity sufficient to supply a family of four with clean water for half a year, depending on water quality. The 10-inch by 2.5-inch filter cartridges have a minimal impact on water flow and require little maintenance.

Each iSpring sediment filter cartridge is individually wrapped to ensure freshness. Please unwrap the cartridge before use. Unlike a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane, these filters do not reduce Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) but instead preserve the healthy minerals in your water.
